How this calculator works
Dimensional weight = length × width × height ÷ divisor. Chargeable weight is the greater comparison value.
Worked example
A 40 × 30 × 20 cm parcel with a 5,000 divisor has a dimensional weight of 4.8 kg. If it weighs 3.2 kg, size drives the comparison.
How to measure
- Measure the outside of the sealed carton.
- Include any bulges, handles or protruding packaging.
- Use the same unit system as the divisor.
Common mistakes
- Measuring the product instead of the packed carton.
- Assuming one divisor applies to every carrier.
- Rounding dimensions down before calculating.
Planning note: This result is an estimate, not a carrier quote. Equipment, services, limits and rounding rules can vary. Confirm operational decisions with the relevant provider.
